I interned for Career Contessa, a trusted career resource built inclusively for women. While on campus, I realized a lack of similar resources for myself, my friends, and my classmates who were navigating the job search process for the first time. To bridge the gap, I started writing career advice articles for Career Contessa.
Ascend Indiana
This led me to my first full-time job as a Career Mentor/Manager of Recruitment at Ascend. There, I connected college students and recent graduates to job and internship opportunities, offering guidance on resumes, cover letters, and interview prep.
After my time at Ascend, I landed my dream job as an Emerging Talent Recruiter at LinkedIn. I completed the full-cycle recruiting process for internships, new grad, and entry-level positions across business, engineering, and product teams. I worked closely with hiring managers and learned what’s needed to succeed in the hiring process at a big tech company.

Two Sessions: $160
Ideal if you have more than one coaching need in mind, but aren’t looking for a long-term commitment. Most popular combinations include: career exploration + resume review and resume review + networking strategies.
Four Sessions: $320
Ideal if you are ready to make big career moves, are seeking extra guidance at multiple stages of the process, or are needing a long-term accountability partner. This option typically meets weekly or bi-weekly.

I’m a parent or guardian looking for coaching for my child (upcoming/recent college graduate).
Parents or guardians are welcome to join consultation calls with their children to learn more. Your child can also input your payment information when booking their session(s) if you’d like to pay on their behalf.
How are the coaching sessions conducted?
Our coaching sessions are conducted online via Google Meet video calls, ensuring convenience and accessibility for clients nationwide. However, I can provide in-person coaching for those located in Chicago who prefer this approach.
What is the process to purchase a coaching session(s)?
First, determine which coaching option is best for you based on your career goals. Then, use the button below that option to book your session(s). Once I receive payment through your preferred method of Venmo or PayPal, I will send you an email to schedule our session(s).
What if I need to reschedule or cancel a coaching session?
To reschedule a session, please notify me via email and I will send you the link to find a new day/time. If you no longer need a session and want to cancel, notify me via email least 24 hours prior to your session time. Then, I will cancel our session and refund you.
Who are your typical clients?
While a majority of my clients are early-in-career, I coach clients of all experience levels ranging from college students and recent grads to mid-level and experienced professionals.
What can I expect from coaching?
During each session, you will receive personalized guidance and actionable advice to help you make progress towards your career goals. After each session, you will receive a recap email that includes any advice, links, resources, and templates mentioned during your session. In between sessions, you may be assigned relevant exercises or tasks to help you prepare and make the most of your next session.
How do I determine if coaching is a good fit or identify what package to purchase?

What is the typical format of a session?
My coaching sessions are 50-minutes each and typically follow this format: introductions/check-in (5 mins), activity/work towards your identified goal (40 mins), and wrap-up/next steps (5 mins).
Can I pay for someone else’s career coaching or gift a coaching package?
Yes! If you’d like to support a family member, friend, or colleague in need of career coaching, please email cmsilcox21@gmail.com to purchase a coaching gift card. The recipient can then redeem this gift card for the coaching package you purchased.
Why is payment collected before the coaching session(s) is conducted?
We all know that we’re more likely to follow through with an appointment when we’re already financially committed. Please pay for your session first to ensure both parties are committed to the appointment. There are no refunds after a coaching session has been conducted.
